Kerr joins Windsor High School as Assistant Principal

PRESS RELEASE

Windsor, Calif.—The Windsor Unified School District (WUSD) is pleased to announce that Sean Kerr will be joining Windsor High School (WHS) for the 2026-27 school year as Assistant Principal, following current AP Joe Stadum’s decision to return to the classroom. Kerr has most recently served as principal at Roseland Collegiate Prep in Santa Rosa.

Kerr began his career in finance, but after spending time as a high school basketball coach, he felt called to education. A Sonoma County local, he started his teaching career in 2008 at Roseland University Prep where he taught math for five years. He then transitioned to become the Director of College and Career Counseling. He obtained his administrative credential 2024, and then took on the role of Principal at Roseland Collegiate Prep.

“I am looking forward to bringing my wide range of experience to Windsor High School,” Kerr said.

“We feel very fortunate to have someone with Sean’s experience and passion joining our WUSD community,” said Superintendent Jeremy Decker. “‘We know Windsor High School will only benefit from his presence and support.”

Kerr is eager to be a part of his new community here in Windsor. “I love working with high schoolers and enjoy guiding and advising students as they look to further their education and their lives,” he

said. “I was interested in Windsor because of the community. I very much look forward to finding my new home at Windsor High School.”

“Sean brings a wealth of experience, and a strong ability to connect with kids and meet them where they are,” said Director of Human Resources Pete Sullivan. “His genuine enthusiasm for the role and his love for the work shines through.”

When asked what he hopes to bring to his new role in Windsor, Kerr responded, “Enthusiasm, positivity, consistency and kindness. My goal is to bring spirit and curiosity to life and hopefully add some fun and positive energy to an already thriving program.”

Kerr looks forward to sharing his new community with his “two wonderful and talented kids. A current senior, and freshman in high school.”

Kerr will move officially into his role on July 1. Windsor Unified School District is excited to welcome Kerr to Windsor High School and invites everyone to join in giving him a warm welcome.
