Stop Bullying
We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive school where every student feels valued and respected. Strong partnerships with families strengthen our efforts to build a positive school culture.
What Is Bullying?
Bullying is repeated, intentional behavior that causes physical, emotional, or social harm and involves a real or perceived power imbalance.
Occasional conflict or disagreements between students are not considered bullying.
Prevention & Positive Culture
We take a proactive, whole-school approach to prevention, including:
-
Social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons
-
Classroom community circles
-
Small-group counseling for friendship and problem-solving skills
-
Core Days for Grades 6–8 with thematic topics on bullying prevention
-
School assemblies focused on respect and belonging
-
Monthly “Manner of the Month” focus
Student Leadership Programs
Our student leadership programs promote kindness, inclusion, and positive peer relationships across campus:
-
Safe Buddies
-
Safe School Ambassadors
Supervision & Safety
Student safety is supported through consistent supervision:
-
Student Advisors, Dean of Students, and Yard Duty personnel supervise students throughout the day
-
Staff are assigned to specific areas to ensure full campus coverage
-
All Yard Duty personnel receive supervision and safety training
How We Respond
All reports of bullying are taken seriously.
-
Reports are reviewed and investigated
-
Restorative practices are used when appropriate
-
Parents/guardians are informed
-
Communication and follow-up are documented
Working Together
Keeping our school safe and respectful is a shared responsibility among students, families, and staff. We encourage open communication and partnership when concerns arise.
