School Counseling
What is School Counseling?
School counselors support all students in their academic achievement, college and career planning, and social-emotional development—helping them grow into confident, capable young adults.
They assist with academic advising, course placement, and strategies for success when students face challenges in their classes. School counselors also help students navigate emotions, peer relationships, and family dynamics. Because childhood and adolescence can be times of significant change, counselors provide a safe, supportive space through individual and small-group counseling to help students understand, cope with, and manage their feelings.
